The first production meeting with Jono went very well yesterday! Great way to celebrate the New Moon and begin the Year of the Dragon. Jono has been listening to all the demos I sent him...and to be honest, I can't believe how much he picked up on...basically communicating back all the ideas I had thought of for the project but never mentioned to him...we both had goose bumps throughout the meeting...really, really cool. I'm also pleased that he likes all the music...he said he didn't hear any questionable tracks...in other words every song I've given him is worthy of recording in his opinion. He also mentioned that a got a request from one of the best musicians he knows to play on my project, which I have to say has never happened to me, and of course I'm a little blown away by that.
Since "Book of Shadows" is a body of work, not a collection of songs, I'm already thinking of song sequence...because this is a story...each chapter needs to be in the right place so to speak. I really have a lot to plan and think about because we're aiming to have this recorded within three to four weeks. The fastest I've ever worked...and I don't want to hang onto it for too long. I'm going to talk to my astrologer about the right time to release it...most likely summer solstice. We'll see...but for sure a summer 2012 release!
